GRANTING OF STUDY LEAVE TO TEACHERS ON PROBATION
Your attention is drawn to the following : -
(1) Paragraph 5(a) of Commission Circular No.88 of 10th July 1980,
(2) Paragraph 2(b) of Commission Circular No.178 of 16th June 1982,
(3) Establishments Circular Letter No. 20/1982 of 13th September 1982,
The Commission, having reviewed the present criteria of granting study leave to teachers on problem, at its 289th meeting held on 1st February 1990, decided to delegate authority to councils of Universities to use their discretion and be responsible for the timing of granting study leave to teachers on probation.
The provisions of this Circular takes effect immediately.
