SALARY LOANS
(01)The Commission having considered Public Administration Circular No.17/90 of 13th March, 1990 on the above matter, decided to adopt it for implementation in the University Grants Commission and in the Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes. Accordingly, the amounts of the following salary loans are revised as follows:-
| (a) | Motor Car Loan | |
| The present amount of Rs.40,000/- for the purchase of a Motor Car to be increased to a maximum of Rs.60,000/-. | ||
| (b) | Motor Cycle | |
| The present amount of Rs.15,000/- for the purchase of a Motor Cycle to be increased to a maximum of Rs.22,500/-. | ||
| (c) | Festival Advance | |
| The present amount of Rs.1000/- as Festival Advance to be increased to a maximum of Rs.1500/-. |
(02)The eligibility of employees t o obtain a loan for t he purchase of a Motor Car and a Motor Cycle is as follows :-
| (a) | Motor Car Loan | |
| An employee whose ini t ial salary is Rs.3900/- p.m. or above. | ||
| (b) | (b) Motor Bicycle Loan | |
| An employee whose initial salary is Rs.1975/- p.m. or above. |
(03)The provisions of Commission Circular No.310 of 23rd October, 1983 under which a Motor Car and a Motor Cycle Loans are granted at present will continue to apply for the payment of these Loans on the revised amounts.
(04)The Festival Advance is recoverable in 10 equal instalments from merits from the months succeeding the month such advance is paid.
(05)The provisions of this Circular are effective from 01st March, 1990.
