PAYMENT OF FEES TO COUNCIL MEMBERS FOR ATTENDING MEETINGS OF SUB-COMMITTEES

Your attentionis drawn to Commission Circular No.320 of 5th May 1986, on the above subject.
The Commission having considered the recommendations made by the CVCD with regard to the payment of fees to the appointed members of the Governing Authorities for attending meetings of Sub-Committees specified below, decided to increase the present payment from Rs.100/- to Rs.200/- per meeting subject to a ceiling of Rs.600/- p.m.
(a) Selection Committee
(b) Finance Committee
(c) Committee on Audit
(d) Welfare Committee
When an appointed member attends more than one Sub-Committee meeting on a given day held consecutively, the payment should be made in respect of one meeting only.
The provisions of this Circular are effective from 1st August, 1990.
