RECRUITMENT OF ACADEMIC STAFF
The Commission has decided to request all Higher Educational Institutions and Institutes to make appointments to the academic staff grades strictly in terms of the Schemes of Recruitment laid down by the UGC. If suitable applicants cannot be found for any particular post, Higher Educational Institutions are kindly requested to re-advertise such posts. All Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes should make every possible attempt to comply with this requirement to avoid appointment of members of academic staff with lesser qualifications.
Provisions of this Circular are effective from 15th October 1991.
