EXTERNAL RECRUITMENT TO NON-ADMINISTRATIVE POSTS IN THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM

The University Grants Commission at its 577th meeting held on 15 th December 2000 decided to amend Step No. 1 specified under para 2 of Commission Circular No. 698 dated 31st January 1997 as follows :

Step 1
University/Campus/Institute will inform the Ministry of Higher Education & Information Technology Development with a copy to Chairman/UGC, particulars of the posts to be filled (ie. the posts, approved Schemes of Recruitment of the posts where qualifications are specified and the number of vacancies).

The Ministry of Higher Education & Information Technology Development will send directly to the University/Campus/Institute concerned a list of candidates with appropriate qualifications as per approved Scheme of Recruitment

Please take action accordingly.
