Your reference is invited to paragraph 7 (a) of Annex (i) issued with Commission Circular No.203 of 4th January, 1983, on the marking scheme prescribed for the annual parental income of students eligible to receive financial assistance.

The parental income ceiling was last revised by Commission Circular No. 504of 21st January 1992. On a recommendation made by the CVCD at its meeting held on 7 March, 1992, the Commission has decided to revise the marking scheme applicable to the parental income ceilings.

The following revised marking scheme will be ffective from 07 July, 1992.

Annual Parental Income Marks
Rs. Up to Rs.24,000 50
Rs.24,001 to Rs.36, 000 30
Rs.36, 001 to Rs.42, 000 10
Rs.42, 001 to Rs.48, 000 05

Marks awarded on other criteria mentioned in paragraph 7 of Annex (i) of Circular 203 will remain unchanged.

You are requested to take action accordingly.
