PAYMENT OF AN ALLOWANCE
Your kind attention is drawn to paragraph 4 of Commission Circular No. 548 dated 22 December 1992 on the above subject.
Please note that paragraph 4 is amended to read as follows :-
4. Monthly allowance of 25% for the years 1993 and 1994 should be calculated based on the following formula:
Basic salary including the salary increase announced by the Government w.e.f. 01.01.1993 X 25

Basic salary
(a) includes earned increments as they would have been on 01.01.1993 and 01.01.1994 had the scales remained unchanged.
(b) in the case of promotions/new appointments, the salary applicable to the particular post at the date of promotion/new appointment if the old scale existed at the date of promotion/new appointment.
(c) excludes all allowances.
