RECRUITMENT OF ACADAMIC STAFF
According to the existing scemes of recruitment applicable to recruitment of Academic Staff by advertisement, there is provision to recruit persons with "other qualifications/professional qualifications approved by the University Grants Commission upon the recommendatlons of the Higher Educational Institutions concerned".
The Commission has decided that whenever recommendations are made to recruit persons with other qualifications, as indicated above, the recommendations of the Selection Commitee should be justified by extra qualifications, research publications and other relevant conditions.
All Higher Educational Institutions are requested to comply with this requirment when they submit their recommendations for the approval of the Commission.
Please comply with this decision.
